Welcome home! It is our desire that everyone feel at home here at FWC. Most of all we desire that you experience the great love of God and His presence when you join us for worship.
We believe that every person who comes into our church was sent by God, so it's not by accident we have the joy of meeting you. Above all else we want to express Christ's love to you with genuine warmth. We are eager to get to know you, and excited to share with you the amazing ways God is working in and through our church.
It wont take you long to discover that this is truly a family rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn, and we reach out to our world with the life transforming truth of Jesus Christ. We reach out to you as well. Our doors are open and our hearts are too. If you have been thinking, praying , searching or hoping for a place to belong we say welcome home.
What type of church is Family Worship Center?
FWC is a warm, friendly group of people committed to making church exciting, life-changing, relevant to everyday life and enjoyable. There are services for the whole family that include dynamic worship, biblical teaching and an opportunity to make a decision to follow Jesus Christ. Our church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God based in Springfield MO.
When are services?
Weekend services occur on Sunday mornings at 10AM. Services last for 90 minutes. We also offer Small Groups a couple nights per week depending on the groups offered. A roster of available groups will be available here during Small Group Sign-Up months.
What should I wear?
Whatever you want! We welcome jeans, t-shirts, ties, tuxedos…you get the idea. Come as you are.
How do I get there?
We are conveniently located off US Highway 169 in Smithville MO just north of the intersection with MO 92. You can access us from 169 using Stonebridge Lane (by O'Reilly's Auto Parts), from 92 by turning north on Commercial Ave, or from Commercial Ave right across from Smithville Public Schools main campus.
How are you keeping safe during COVID-19?
We are abiding by the requests of our local health department which means we have hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility for easy access, we also have arranged our seating to accommodate social distancing. We encourage those who feel more comfortable wearing a mask to feel free to do so but no one is required to wear one at this time. We also are sanitizing our facility weekly to help mitigate the spread of germs of all types.
What happens when I arrive?
After you pull in and park, enter through the main doors under the awning where you will be greeted by some smiling faces. Greeters are available to help you find anything you need. Signs are also throughout the building to help you find the sanctuary, bathrooms and kids areas or you can ask anyone for directions. Once you have found a seat in the sanctuary enjoy the music, check out the FWC app, or peruse the
screen for info about upcoming activities. Also be sure to fill out the Connection Card on your phone by texting CONNECT to 816-800-9937 or grab a hard copy that you can drop in one of the offering boxes from the lobby.
What about my kids?
