Welcome home! It is our desire that everyone feel at home here at FWC. Most of all we desire that you experience the great love of God and His presence when you join us for worship.
We believe that every person who comes into our church was sent by God, so it's not by accident we have the joy of meeting you. Above all else we want to express Christ's love to you with genuine warmth. We are eager to get to know you, and excited to share with you the amazing ways God is working in and through our church.
It wont take you long to discover that this is truly a family rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn, and we reach out to our world with the life transforming truth of Jesus Christ. We reach out to you as well. Our doors are open and our hearts are too. If you have been thinking, praying , searching or hoping for a place to belong we say welcome home.
What type of church is Family Worship Center?
FWC is a warm, friendly group of people committed to making church exciting, life-changing, relevant to everyday life and enjoyable. There are services for the whole family that include dynamic worship, biblical teaching and an opportunity to make a decision to follow Jesus Christ.
When are services?
Weekend services occur on Sunday mornings at 10:30AM. Sunday service usually dismisses at noon. We also have a weeknight service on Wednesday nights at 6:30PM that dismisses by 7:45PM.
What should I wear?
Whatever you want! We welcome jeans, t-shirts, ties, tuxedos…you get the idea. Come as you are.
How do I get there?
We are conveniently located off US Highway 169 in Smithville MO just north of the intersection with MO 92. You can access us from 169 using Stonebridge Lane (by O'Reilly's Auto Parts), from 92 by turning north on Commercial Ave, or from Commercial Ave right across from Smithville Public Schools main campus.
What happens when I arrive?
When you pull in you should enter through the main doors under the awning. You will be greeted by some smiling faces and handed a bulletin. Signs are throughout the building to help you find the sanctuary, bathrooms and kids areas or you can ask anyone for directions. Feel free to grab a donut, and some coffee in the lobby and find a seat in the sanctuary. Once there enjoy the music or peruse the bulletin and screens for info about upcoming events. Also be sure to fill out the connection Card in your bulletin while you wait and it will be collected near the middle of service.
